We’re celebrating 5 years of transforming businesses using data, digitalization and agile ways of working
April 22, 2021
Happy anniversary to us! This year, Remotion is turning 5 and we would like you to join the party! Celebrate with us by getting to know us more through a series of Q&As answered by our partners Per Willebrand, Hannes Bünger and Lena Pierre, focusing on Remotion, its past and future, but also on the humans behind this success story.
Today, Per will give you a quick retrospective of the past 5 years of Remotion….
We realized quite early that we were on the right path when we measured the outcome of our very first project, and noticed how personalization contributed to a greater extent to the revenue than expected. That’s what made us confident that the service we provide to our clients will have positive effects for their customers.
Hi partner! Can you introduce yourself?
Hi! I am Per and I am one of the partners at Remotion. I have been working with data-driven marketing for the last 10+ years, and I come with a background from tech.
When, how and why did you start Remotion?
We noticed that “traditional CRM” did not bring any significant revenue uplift for our customers, and started to think “how can we continue the dialogue with customers and actually give them value?”. The only thing we could come up with was data-driven marketing, and more specifically web personalization. And that is pretty much how it started.
Can you reflect on/summarize the past 5 years?

That’s what made us confident that the service we provide to our clients will have positive effects for their customers. If I would summarise the past 5 years, I’d say it’s really cool projects, managed by fun people (= both our customers and employees!)
What’s Remotion’s biggest achievement so far?
I’d say it is mainly that more and more clients have faith in our capacity to help them. But also, it’s that we have grown our small company, attracted new fun and proficient talents and that everyone still gets an AHA moment when we talk about what we are doing at Remotion. And that is really satisfying!
How do you see Remotion in 5 years?
I’m hoping that we continuously grow the company to be a leader in the area! I’m expecting fun projects and clients to work with, and hope we all still experience this AHA moment even 5 years from now.
